I’ve been going to this ActiveSG gym for the past 4 months, observing users and SAs or service ambassadors. After reading the reviews here, I felt compelled to write one with good intentions. I understand some users lamented about not being let in without a towel, but no one likes to use equipments stained with smelly and sweaty DNAs and by the way, there are 3 wet tissue dispensers, so do wipe them after use. If you can’t remember your towel, there’s a nearby Japan Home, go buy one! Doesn’t even make sense, should we rate a gym 5-star if you’re allowed entry without a towel?! To those reviewers, are you being serious?! This world has gone bonkers! I would much prefer a gym that observe hygiene and cleanliness! It’s a public gym for all to enjoy, kindly observed the 30 mins time limit for cardio machines. Not sure about other equipments, it doesn’t take much common sense to not hogged them like it’s your grandfather’s gym. There aren’t lockers only 2 large shelves to put your belongings so try not to bring valuables. Toilets are well maintained with shower rooms, I’ve seen cleaners cleaning them, it’s probably the users that were not doing their part?! For the entry price, you could shower here or go home if too crowded. It’s a pretty decent public gym with an affordable price of $2.50 per entry which you could op to go peak or off peak hours if you want to avoid crowds. So please, stop acting like self-entitled whiny children, get off your high horse and start behaving like adults with basic manners, consideration for others and civic mindedness, because you’d complaint even if it’s a classy gym for crying out loud! As for the “aunties” and “uncles”, they are human too, don’t demand for service with a smile when you can’t even follow basic rules. Kindness is a two-way traffic, it takes two to tango, give before you receive. Try smiling first the next time you’re there!
View on GoogleHuge public gym facility with all equipment available. Great vibe for working out. Remember to carry your own towel. The staff is kind and helps with registration. Good clean washrooms with shower facility. Accessible with bus stop nearby
View on GoogleSuper packed and congested when I arrived at 6.30pm. The treadmill tend to be always filled as most folks dont observe the 30 minute cap which what I observed. Loved the high ceiling and warehouse style concept though. In summary, since it was using my activesg credit which is kinda free, can't complain much. Nonetheless, if you are someone who is in a rush for time / not comfortable to use equipments that are slightly worn off / share machine in between sets, this gym would not be ideal for you and you would be better off at a private gym.
View on GooglePleasantly surprised by how well-equipped the gym is, with a wide range of machines for both strength and cardio. Free weights only go up to 20 kg, which could be limiting to some. Still, really appreciate the government putting up facilities like this to encourage an active lifestyle. Overall a great workout experience, other than the extremely rude and unhelpful auntie at the door - she needs to chill out.
View on GoogleI live really close to this gym, so I gave it a try during their one-week free trial when they first opened. The space is generally clean and spacious, also the staff have been friendly and welcoming and I’ve never had a bad experience with them, which is a plus. Do note that this gym requires you to bring your own towel! As it’s grown more popular over time, it does get quite crowded during peak hours, something you want to keep in mind if you prefer a less hectic workout experience🙌
