Amore Fitness & Define Woodlands

I have been using Amore facial services at Woodlands for more than a decade as I started off with the staff who were v friendly & helpful. Those days were a joy to go facial & received warm reception & cheers after facial from therapist to front desk. In recents years, the front desk had seen frequent changes & the so called managers are pushy and fake. I am glad to read the negative reviews here that I also experienced like them . This morning i received a call to confirm my facial appointment which i need to postpone. Too bad this did not go well. Her attitude is very presumptuous & controlling. She tried to do damage control but again the way she put it she is right & I am wrong and keep insisting she is doing it right at the end of the call. I agree with other previous reviews that Amore staff asking customer to call & book appointments on Day 1 of the month is unacceptable.I was told few years ago on this too & was put off by this. I tried for couple of months with using their apps to book but at midnight or shortly after midnight , most slots were booked. It’s ridiculous. I couldn’t imagine that therapist was so popular that at midnight so many customers stayed up late to book her :))) So they advised me to call as it is better than using apps. I tried for few months & gave up. I decided to find alternate contingent facial places as it is difficult to get an appointment with my preferred therapist. And last couple of years , therapist keep changing with new ones in & out. They encouraged us to try new ones which I did but don’t expect me to keep changing as facial therapist is the main reason I sign packages with Amore. Today, again she told me i could have called on 1 Jan to book Feb CNY appointments. There is no customer care & service at all. They expect customers to work for them. At any rate, their facial is not worth the treatment & services the customer received. It is costly as some one wrote before. With that kind of prices & bad customer services , there are plenty alternatives we can spend on. These days not a joy to go Amore for facial anymore esp meeting front desk staff but thankful I meet my alternate therapist whom they advised me to try last year. She is v gentle , kind & serious to help her client to improve facial care. I hope Amore management recognises her diligence & her right service attitude. She is the reason for me to continue my facial treatment at Amore. As for the caller today, I hope as a customer service personnel, she has to listen to customers & not assume what she thinks is right for customer. What she thinks is so myopic :) Her selling approach & attitude needs to be corrected & improved too.

After 30 years in the workforce, I decided it was time to prioritise my health and begin my fitness journey with Amore Fitness Woodlands. As a complete beginner with little knowledge of gym equipment and fitness techniques, the experience was initially quite intimidating. Learning to use the equipment correctly, maintain proper form and posture, and even focus on details such as correct breathing with every push and pull felt overwhelming at first. I am deeply grateful to my personal trainer, Juliana Tay, and I highly recommend her to anyone—especially beginners—who is considering engaging a personal trainer. Juliana is professional, attentive, and highly dedicated to her clients. She is incredibly motivating and puts in great effort to design customised workout plans tailored to individual needs. With her guidance, I have been able to overcome my fears and discomfort in challenging exercises, and gradually build confidence in my fitness journey. I look forward to many more enjoyable and exciting workouts in the years ahead. I would also like to express my appreciation to the frontline staff who manage the clients, as well as the behind-the-scenes team who support operations, from maintaining cleanliness to handling towel laundry. Keep up the excellent work!💪

The facial service provided by therapist Janice has always been excellent. She gives her very best with heart, soul, and sincerity. She genuinely wants to ensure her clients look their prettiest after each session. Despite her official working hours ending at 8.30 pm, she is willing to extend her time to serve her clients. It is truly commendable that she travels to Woodlands every Monday, even after moving to Punggol, just so as not to disappoint her existing clients. Janice is indeed a gem for Amore. She is always on her toes and readily steps up whenever the need arises. The front desk team, such as Tiffany and Chris, also deserve recognition. They are consistently friendly, cheerful, and welcoming, making customers feel valued. Their warmth and service create a positive experience that keeps customers coming back and continuing their packages with Amore. Kudos to the entire team.

I like this gym. The staff are friendly and always ready to help. All the personal trainers and instructors are knowledgeable and motivating. Gym atmosphere is great, classes are fun and make you want to show up everyday. Highly recommend!
