Gymkraft @ Kallang Wave Mall

My niece, Ayesha, absolute loves her gymnastics classes with Coach Marlon. He is so strict haha but he makes it enjoyable for the kids! We took a month break but will be enrolling her for KinGym X (2 hrs) session soon as we need to tire her energy out so that she will sleep earlier at night!! Cannot rave abt GymKraft enough! Everyone is so helpful and kind, even the teenage gymnastics assistants! Ayesha said that she wants to train so hard that she can work there as an assistant one day when she is older and on school holiday (she is only 5 now!). Also, she is looking fwd to be trained by Coach Winmar one day when he is well from his injury. He had left quite a positive and inspiring impression on Ayesha during one of her make-up classes. Kudos to whole team!

Just wanted to give a heartfelt shout out to Coach M (Marlon) for his friendly yet disciplined approach in coaching my 7 year old daughter. She has been with him for about two years now, and although she often says, “Coach M is so tough!”, she never wants to miss a class. She looks forward to every session and always comes out smiling (and sweaty). The Tampines YOHA outlet is also a great space, open, bright, and perfect for all the gym jumps and runs. What I really appreciate is the effort Coach M and the school put into organising competitions both locally and overseas. It gives us parents a chance to see what the kids have been learning, and more importantly, helps the children grow in confidence and motivation. On behalf of my daughter Lauren, thank you Coach M. We really appreciate your patience, energy, and the balance you bring between being firm and keeping it fun. It is clear you care about every student’s growth, and it truly shows.

During his class, I witnessed him being pulled out of his existing group and moved to a younger class without any prior notice or explanation. The reason, as I witnessed, was that another new child wanted to join his class, which was already at full capacity. As a result, my son was displaced from his regular group — despite having been attending and progressing in that class. As a 5-year-old, he was naturally unable to speak up for himself or understand what was happening. In the younger group, he was not assigned to any activity and sat aside for about 15 minutes because the other coach was unfamiliar with his fitness level. This experience was confusing and discouraging for him, and it clearly showed a lack of consideration for the child’s comfort, progress, and well-being. When I approached the coach to ask what was going on, my son was hastily brought back to his original group as if nothing had happened. However, the incident had already caused unnecessary distress and wasted class time. This kind of treatment toward a young child is unacceptable and unprofessional. It gives the impression that children can be moved around arbitrarily to accommodate scheduling or capacity issues, without regard for their individual needs or emotional security. If a parent had not been present to observe the situation, the child might have been left confused and unattended for the entire session. We have therefore decided to withdraw from the program. However, I believe this matter deserves serious attention so that no other child experiences the same. I hope the management will review how such decisions are made and ensure that children’s welfare and consistency of learning remain the top priority.

My son is enrolled in the Tampines branch, but we often have make-up classes here so that he can be coached by Coach Alimin. It's quite a distance from our place, but my son's happiness getting to learn from his favourite coach is worth the trouble getting here. 🌞 I also appreciate GymKraft's flexibility in letting us choose the locations, because flexibility is so important when raising a child. The space here is considerably smaller than the one in Tampines, but no value is lost. My son gets to do lots here — crawling, hanging, trampolining etc. Coach Alimin is ever patient with beginners and watchful over his class. Highly recommend having a class with him! 🔥 I've written more observations about Coach Alimin's coaching style over at the GymKraft Tampines Google page. His class always looks the happiest, IMHO. This branch has air-conditioning, and has an unblocked view for parents to look at their kids doing cool tricks. It's located near Stadium MRT Station.

My friend recommended me to coach Kym! I tried to book trial for my child few times but her class always fully booked. Finally got a chance for my child to attend her class. Fantastic! Worth waiting….. Thank you coach Kym for being such a patient and genuinely caring coach. You truly make a positive impact on the lives of your students.
