Ace was clear, patient, and thorough in answering all my questions, which really helped me feel confident in my decision. The tour of the facilities was well-organized and informative, highlighting everything Virgin Active has to offer. View on GoogleToxic Management & System Failures - Avoid This Gym I visited hoping to spend legit time explore this gym, but my experience was deeply disappointing First, and most alarming, was witnessing clear workplace abuse. A senior/supervisor staff publicly berated and humiliated a junior worker, shouting and pointing aggressively at computer equipment right in front of me and other patrons. This unprofessional, bullying behavior created a hostile and uncomfortable atmosphere. It reflects terribly on the gym's culture and management. If this is how staff are treated, it makes me question the entire establishment's values. Second, their systems and customer service failed completely. No communication ! I received a trial confirmation msg n code from their system that didn't work (due to trial/code was not check from their own system n they jus issue out , wasting client travel n time , but their branch will not acknowledge it ) due to a few yr ago , a quick visit I had with them (due to their suppose trial attending staff (WEN)was oversea so last min a drop off for a look n left! Giving a solution of either I on the spot sign their membership or pay them without any trial ??!!? Honestly just a waste of my time and energy. They couldn't even manage a simple trial process correctly n so pushy for sale. I came in with an open mind as my gym membership was ending, but I m absolutely disappointed , Management needs to urgently address both the toxic supervisory behavior and the broken systems. Will write a complaint letter to their hq n my company hr cooperation too. Until they do, I cannot recommend this gym to anyone.
View on GoogleOver the weekend, I realised I had lost my wallet, a day after my last visit just the day before. My partner helped me call the gym while I was at work, and he mentioned that the person who answered the phone was quite wishy-washy. He kept bringing up that “we should have told him yesterday” because they check every locker at night, and if they didn’t find it yesterday, they wouldn’t find it now. But I only discovered my wallet was missing that day, so it wasn’t even possible for me to inform them earlier. I had taken note of the locker number I thought I used and my partner asked if they could check it. The team followed up, and said they had already checked and didn’t find anything, but would “check again thoroughly at night when the lockers aren’t in use.” Fair enough. But I was desperate — my wallet is important, and I couldn’t confirm 100% if I remembered the locker number correctly. I also knew the specific spot of the locker, and that it might not be in use at the time. So I decided to personally go down to check. The receptionist on duty (same person on call - I assume) was very kind and allowed me to go in to look for it myself. But to my surprise… I found my wallet inside the locker that was supposedly checked already. Benefit of the doubt — maybe they genuinely missed it. It was not in an obvious spot due to the deep shelves in the locker. But when I came out and told another staff member, “Oh, do you know about the wallet?” because I didn't want them to waste effort looking for something I had found she looked confused, like she had no idea what I was talking about. Then the receptionist came out, and he also looked a little surprised that I had actually found it. I'm wondering if anyone even bothered to check? When I told my friends and the people who were helping me track my wallet, they all said the same thing: For a premium gym, this is unacceptable. If you hadn’t gone down personally, you might have really lost your wallet - all because someone said it “was checked” when clearly it wasn’t. Moreover, my partner heard him use the term 'my staff' over the call, so I'd like to assume that it wasn't a part time staff. I’m relieved I found it. But I did expect at least a proper search or some effort — especially when someone reports a missing wallet. Premium gym or not, customer service excellence or not, I wish there was a heart for customer service or for people here. I've had both a fair share of extremely pleasant or not so pleasant memories with Virgin Active - but this deserves to be brought up.
View on GoogleThis is my other fave VA locations aside from raffles place VA. Clean facilities and efficient staffs. My fave Pilates instructor here is Keefe! Always a fun and great Pilates sessions! Keefe's love for Pilates translates to how he conducts sessions. I felt well guided and supported even on my 1st few sessions with Pilates. I always try to sign up asap for Keefe's classes!
