This is one of the worst Gympod branches I have tried. The location is somewhat convenient (within 15-minute walk from Yishun MRT, and situated in the heartlands of Yishun). There is a hill/winding stairs to get to the middle of the park, so it is not the most accessible and may not be the best location during bad weather. The interior of the Gympod is musky, as if it hasn't been cleaned for months. It is also poorly ventilated. There is an automated air freshener that smells cheap and overwhelming that goes off every 15 minutes or so. The aircon is also not cold, especially if you are using the end of the pod with the treadmill on a hot afternoon. It gets very stuffy. Sometimes the aircon drips. I have provided feedback on this to the management, but nothing has been done to fix the temperature issue. The equipment is also straight-up nasty and revolting. The dumbbells reek of sweat, and I had to sanitise my hands after each use. The barbells and other equipment are rusty. Sometimes there is also mud on the floor and the treadmill, especially after it has rained. While the speaker is a nice touch to make workouts more fun, I really would not recommend paying for such poorly managed facilities, and you are better off signing up for a regular gym membership in Yishun, or trying another pod elsewhere.
View on GoogleHonestly 6+ is good for students and that is in off peak if its peak it would be $8 and do mind this is for STUDENTS adult is 9.50 for peak and the equipment are alright i'd say but its realy dirty like before i came in i spoted 2 lizard at the door not on the ground but ON thw door. Then the curtain idk why but it wouldent go down when i press yhe down button. In conclusion the equipment are good abit rusted but its fine as they provided hand sanitizer and the smart mirror is working for some nomal task. But the cons are quite bad for example the mirror wonr let you change the led nor the curtain so they need to fix that. The maintenance is good beside the ez bar quite rusted. Other then that 3.8 out of 5
View on GoogleThe pod sits nicely on top of the hill and blends well within the neighborhood park. Adequate equipment especially the choice of cardio equipment. Suitable for average gym goers but not really for powerlifting as you only have smith machines. The Bluetooth speaker is godsend.
View on GoogleManagement is cheap. Previous issues with the fraying Smith Machine rope attachment took more than a month to resolve. Issues with the rusting smith machine bar was resolved by just painting over the rust (which is again peeling). I reported issues with the treadmill speed 6 months ago. Their treadmill is too fast, and keying in my regular speed almost made me fall off the machine. They have blamed my watch calibration and insisted that their technician has not found anything wrong. I have sent them photos of multiple other lifefitness treadmills CONSISTENTLY recording higher distances than my watch. All except the Yishun Neighbourhood Gympod treadmill. I also reminded them that I have been using this Gympod since 2022 and have NEVER reported this issue until June 2024. Yet the issue remains unresolved. I'm making this public in case anyone else falls off the treadmill and wants to make a case for negligence.
